Ep088: The Power of Perspective: A Different View on Narcolepsy - With Kayla Douglas

OVERVIEW

When we are sick or we think that there is something wrong with our body we often go to hospitals to seek professional help. Then we will undergo a certain test to get the final result or diagnosis of our condition. But have you ever imagined how powerful that piece of paper is? It tends to control us by telling us the things that are good or bad for us. This diagnosis often leads to stress and sometimes sleepless nights.

One of the most common chronic sleep disorders is narcolepsy. It is not very easy to be diagnosed with this kind of sleep disorder but what if you have it? Will it make you less of a person? Sometimes what we need is not just medication to cure illnesses or imperfections. Most of the time we just need to look at the brighter side of life. We just need to have a positive perspective in life which is the best cure for anything.

On this week's episode, I am so delighted to have on the show Kayla Douglas a certified life coach. She is diagnosed with narcolepsy at a very young age but it doesn't stop her from fulfilling her dreams and her goal of helping other people. Kayla will share with us her journey of overcoming this chronic sleep disorder and winning this lifelong battle. Be inspired by how her positive perspective makes her not just a survivor but also an inspiration to other people who are suffering from narcolepsy.
