Ep114: Sleep Study: What Happens to Your Body during Sleep - With Andrea Ramberg

OVERVIEW

When you are experiencing difficulties sleeping at night the first thing that you consider to resolve the issue is to take sleeping aids. But what if there is a bigger issue behind it. Have you heard of a sleep study? A sleep study is a test done by professionals to diagnose sleep problems. It is a procedure that records the activity of the body during sleep. If you are having sleep problems at night and feel like you needed help, undergoing a sleep study might be the answer to prevent you from facing a more serious sleep disorder.

In this week's episode, I am so honored to have on the show Andrea Ramberg the current President of "The Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists" (BRPT) and the Customer Success Manager for EnsoData. In this interview, she will give you a deeper understanding of sleep study and what happens when you undergo this procedure. Andrea will also share the different types of sleep studies and when to know if you need to take this test. There are lots of sleep disorders that are sometimes being taken for granted and left undiagnosed that can lead to a more serious medical condition. As the line goes prevention is better than cure and undergoing a sleep study is a good way of preventing a simple sleep disorder to be a lifetime dilemma that you need to face every night.
