ENCORE - Children's Sleep: Understanding Your Child’s Sleeping Habits with Dr. Nilong Vyas and Dr. Lynelle Schneeberg

OVERVIEW

When we go to sleep at night, oftentimes we think of how much work we need to do tomorrow. However, the better question you need to answer is, how productive you need to be.

Your child will be happier, healthier, and could interact with their environment better if they had enough sleep and if they are well rested.

But do you know how your child’s sleeping habit should transition? Or how much naps they require during the day?

In this episode, sleep experts, Dr. Nilong Vyas and Dr. Lynelle Schneeberg share tips on how your child can have better sleep. They’ll be uncovering your responsibilities as parents in helping your kids create night routines and what approach to take if they are becoming emotional during bed time.

Dr. Nilong Vyas is a board-certified pediatrician and mother of two beautiful boys. She earned a Masters in Public Health degree from Tulane University as well as a Medical Doctorate from LSU Health Sciences Center. After completing her Pediatrics residency at LSU she worked as an ER Physician at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans. She subsequently chose to join private practice at Lake Vista Pediatrics in Lakeview.

Dr. Lynelle Schneeberg is a pediatric sleep psychologist and an assistant professor at the Yale School of Medicine. She’s also the director of the behavioral sleep program at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and a fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Listen to this episode and learn how you as parents can team up for your child’s well-being.
