OVERVIEW

It is said that 70 million people in the United States suffer from sleep problems and that there are approximately 80 different types of sleep disorders. Amongst this, the most common and popular one that we know is insomnia. When does sleep become a problem? How can we prevent ourselves from the risk of having this sleep disorder like insomnia? Is there a way for us to differentiate or recognize the difference between insomnia and depression?

In this episode, I interviewed Dr. Colleen Carney an Associate Professor and Director of the Sleep and Depression Laboratory at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. She is also an author, and her books often talk about cognitive vulnerability to insomnia and depression. She is a passionate advocate for improving treatment options for those with insomnia and other health problems. Join us as we decode sleep and share some important reminders on how you can prevent yourself from having sleep disorders. As I always say give yourself the goodnight's sleep that you deserve for sleep is something that we should enjoy, to have a better and happier life.
